The objective of the Capital Area Soccer Association's Advanced Development Program (ADP) is to provide a year-round soccer training program that will develop players to their greatest potential and will focus on top-quality instruction.
The ADP is a multi-layered program that provides professional support at all levels of the game. Through a wide range of instructional programs, CASA is dedicated to improving youth soccer in Central Pennsylvania.
In an effort to maximize the potential in young players and increase their knowledge of their specific position, Capital Area Soccer will be offering a Goalkeeper/Striker Clinic. The clinic is designed to establish a solid foundation on which a player can continually build through training techniques, tactics, and other essential pieces needed to play their position.
The clinic will divide into goalkeepers and strikers for half the night to focus on topics of the night. The other half of the night both groups will combine to create game like scenarios to reinforce the techniques from the night’s topics.
Focus for Goalkeepers will be on:
Proper handling of ball.
Distribution. (With Feet and Hands)
Focus for Strikers will be on:
Proper way to strike a ball.
Finishing from different angles.
Focus on mechanics and disciplines to consistently score goals.
Positioning in the goal box.
Proper decisions in front of the goal.
